 Barbara DiMercurio is the Nursing Director for the GCRC. She oversees all clinical activities on a daily basis for the inpatient and outpatient units.
The Nursing team consists of seventeen Registered Nurses, four Health Care Technicians, one echocardiograph technician, one Certified Nursing Assistant, three Patient Service Coordinators and two student workers.
The clinical staff are members of the Department of Patient Services within University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) and maintain clinical competencies, training and continuing education as outlined by UCH and the Colorado State Board of Nursing. In addition, many of the RNs have specialty skills in various areas including medical/surgical nursing, critical care nursing, advanced cardiac life support, chemo certification and/or emergency medicine.
